Drag Racing
How awesome is it?

I mean, I'm pretty much an insomniac at the moment - but a few minutes of
this is sending me straight to the land of naked boobs and fast cars that is
my dreamland. I mean, boring isn't the word at all, it's whatever boring is
amplified many, many times. I expect it's more entertaining to do, but as a
spectator sport?

Anyway, it works for me. It should be on every night really!

Better to watch it in the flesh, you can't experience the noise properly
on the telly. But it's the smell, and the rumble through the air and the
ground that you just can't do at all on the telly...

And stuff accellerating really quickly is always good, right? ;)

Have you come across Tractor Pulling yet, Dan?

Yes, there's nothing to beat the sight of two bearded men in tight
cocktail dresses and sling backs charging down a quarter mile straight.

You wont regret it. Its one of those things that everyone should see at
least once. Has to be dry though. Or no go...

Beats the hell out of cricket and baseball. And Nascar which is
basically watching cars go in a circle while you hope the redneck
fuckers will have a crash and all die.

I find Nascar is mildly entertaining, but I agree whole heartedly about the
others. They crash quite often in Nascar which is pretty fun :-)

I agree, it's not particularly great on TV. But in the metal it's actually
pretty awesome and very impressive!!

I think I'd of enjoyed more if there had been some road cars instead of just
those big rear wheels, trike front wheels things.

Shit on TV. Great to watch IRL. Even better to do.

As well as the car alarms all going off when the top fuellers crank up.

At first I took that as watching IRL (Indy Racing League) was great and I
searched my mind for a driver called Turton.....

I need to get out more.

the only trouble with watching the top fuellers is that after seeing a pair
of those fire breathing monsters light up the strip even a 8l, 800hp blown
camaro seem a bit slow as it trundles along :-)
