AutoTrader: mag vs. web site
Anyone know about how the AutoTrader web site relates to the printed
magazine. Are all ads on the web site included in the printed
magazine, and vice versa?
In my area, the AutoTrader mag comes out today (Weds). Will the mag
include ads that have not yet been published on the web site?

Tips welcomed from AutoTrader hounds...

When I rang up about a Celica last year I found on their website, the
advert hadn't even appeared in that weeks mag.

I think when you sell a car on Autotrader, you have two options. Advertise
on the web only or web and magazine. I think the web only option is cheaper
than advertising in both.

Are the web ads set to expire after a time or is the seller supposed to
update when cars are sold?

I ask as I seem to ring a lot of people who no longer have cars for sale.

From what I remember, I think I paid for a 2 week slot on the website. I
think AT also send you a link to follow when the car sells to remove from
their website.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "R D S" saying

Not an unknown trick for magazine or free newspaper publishers to run
ads for longer than paid for, or even insert free ads to fill space and
make the mag look more successful than it is, either during a quiet
period or when starting up.
