LPG in car parks
Is it allowed to park an LPG car in car parks? For example the NCP
London Docklands City Harbour Car Park (Selsdon Way, Isle Of Dogs,
London, E14 9Gl)
Thanks!

Why wouldn't it be? If it's not, I've broken the law many times in my LPG
Jeep....

Geat! Problem solved ;-)
I'm from Belgium and here it's often not allowed. I didn't knew how
strict it was in Britain.
Thanks again!

All sounds odd to me. Here in Australia, LPG vehicles can drive and park
anywhere that other vehicles are allowed to go, and unlike petrol vehicles,
are allowed to operate inside enclosed industrial buildings due to the
cleaner emissions.

I think that it is not legal in some Euro countries to park LPG vehicle
in closed underground garages. I am not sure, but I think that Germany
is one of those.

More or less it is allowed now in Germany, too. THe cause for banning
LPG cars from underground car parks was the fear of a gas leak: propane
gas would have risen to head level and would have caused breathing
problems. Only there were never enough LPG cars in Germany that there
ever was a justified fear of enough cars springing leaks all at once to
fill up a whole car park with gas... but then we Germans are a bit wary
of gas since the War ;-)
Modern underground car parks must have sufficient ventilation, so the
ban on LPG cars has been lifted since 2002.
