Decent classic garages in Central-South London
I've just purchased a lovely Triumph Dolomite Sprint, but it needs to
be MoT'd. The car is in lovely condition, but has been in storage for
3 years.

I live in Vauxhall, London, so was wondering if there were any
'classic friendly' garages that would be able to MoT the car for me?

It should pass without problems, but in case it doesn't I'd prefer not
to let a bunch of monkeys 'repair' it!

I use AMC at 668 Garratt Lane SW17 020 8944 9966 for repairs etc on my
modern BMW as they are specialists for that make (and MB). And took my SD1
there for MOT. Just about the entire workshop came out to look at it.
Seems they like a change from working on the same makes all the time. ;-)

They did a very sympathetic MOT - and do a free re-test within a set
period even if you do your own repairs. (The SD1 failed on front brake
hoses)

Of course they ain't the cheapest around for labour rates etc but I've
found them honest and fair. Which means the final bill may not be any
different from other less honest places with a lower headline rate. A
breath of fresh air after my dealings with the local BMW main agent -
Coopers of Wimbledon.

Best to book an MOT as although they say 'while you wait' for that you
may have to wait a fair old time as they're always busy.
