glow plug indication light
Hi all, I own a 05 2.9td Musso & my glow plug indication light does
not come on when the ignition switch is turned on, but it comes on a
short time after the engine has been running, then after a short time
it goes out. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be. Cheers
fred

...with a merc engine and a borg warner gearbox! :)

One or more of the glowplugs have failed, they can be tested in situ with a
multimeter, replacemets easy enough to get hold of, about 1/2 to 3/4 hour to
change a full set, make sure you buy 11.5volt ones, not 11.

It's not a Mercedes engine.

The eariler models, it WAS a merc engine, in the later ones the engine was
built by SY in Korea under licence from MB, which is why a lot (not all) of
MB 602 parts drop straight in, so perhaps you are right, the engine was not
built in germany, so not MB, but it was built to MB spec and design, and is
badged MB on the engine, so that makes it MB to me, not that I care, I drive
a car with a silly badge that nobody can pronounce and that didn't cost too
much, it drives well, runs on any fuel I throw at it, pulls my large caravan
with ease, I don't struggle for any parts, and when I want to play the car
copes admirably
