Either that or in a world with visible daemons it's so unremarkable
that it hasn't even attracted a nickname. OK, he does say there's not
a lot of people with same-sex daemons, but then there's nothing about
an incidental character being gay that would have advanced the story,
really. Might have been interesting if one of the Magisterium had a
same-sex daemon, and more so if they'd concealed that fact... <eg>
