Re: Re: Rev. Moon welcome in UK.
I remember back in 1971, I was attanding Kansas University at Lawrence, and
a van was driving around with Unification Church on it. I met with the
fellows and we talked. As a new Bahá\'í I was interested to see what
someone might have claimed to reveal from the Unseen Kingdom, since
Bahá\'u\'lláh had said there would be no Divine Manifestation for another
1000 solar years.
It turned out, of course, that nothing was revealed.I do remember going
away from the meeting with the impression that it was believed that
previous Prophets had failed in their missions. That is not possible. God
is not impotent. Events like the Crucifixion and Ashura show the victory of
God.
And the Báb, Bahá\'u\'lláh\'s Forerunner, said: \"Glory be unto Thee, O my
God, Thou art well aware that I have proclaimed Thy Word and have not
failed in the mission Thou didst enjoin upon me.\" (Selections from the
Writings of the Bab, p. 166)
