The best article on The Bible and Homosexuality I've ever read
http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/20763.htm

If one can put aside any hard preconceptions and come to this article
with an open mind I believe there's a lot in it which is thoroughly
consistent with the Spirit and teaching of Jesus, our Lord...

Re: The best article on The Bible and Homosexuality I've ever read
Surely, if homosexuality is such a "SIN" and destroyer of the spirits
of individuals and family life, Jesus should have made reference to
same somewhere in his ministry when "he had the floor" for all time
or at least till his glorious second coming. Or maybe, when dying on
the cross, cursed those sexual perverts at the top in Rome who
were ultimately responsible for his dismal end . Thus in an
entertaining
but instructional way shone some light on the perversions of human
sexuality. Thereby, avoiding e a lot of turmoil in the modern church.
No, instead
Jesus surely wasted too much time on humanity's proneness to greed
Or in word and deed, excorciated too many times
the religious elite's tendency to assess harshly the
moral failings of others while resorting to various devices that
enlarged
their egos.

Also first century Palestine was a hotbed of Greek civilization (it
went with the
Romans). And surely the orthodox Jesus as well as Qumran zealots
would
have been aware of one central practice and blasphemy of the Greeks -
every classy guy had an intimate boyfriend. I don't know what the
zealots
said but I know Jesus failed in the four gospels to get overheated by
the issue.
If it were indeed an ISSUE.

So, being a practical Christian and a more or less scientific one and
informed
by individuals and associations that make the human psyche the object
of
long and precise clinical study I am loathe to continue the age old
Bible
error of negatively assessing the gays among us. One thing sure God
loves
them as well as anyone. I mean the earth is no longer the center of
the
solar system/universe. And gays however expressing the way God
created them
will have to find a new way to be to contravene God's holy law.

(Lev 20:13) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both
of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death;
their blood shall be upon them.

The rest of your post is dull and meaningless.

You certainly know that the same section of Leviticus condemns eating
shellfish, wearing clothes made up of two different kinds of fibers,
or touching a women who is having her menstrual period. Do you follow
all these rules? Or do you just use the Bible to pick on gays, and
ignore the parts that might limit your acitvities in any way?

The only 'articles' worth reading about Sodom & Gomorrah are what the Bible
teaches.
As to what Almighty God thinks about homosexual activities here you are.
" 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done
what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their
own heads." Lev 20:13 (ANIV)

Have you a dictionary at hand?
So what is it about 'Detestable' you fail to understand?

Jeff...
Oh! and why the death sentence?
Doesn't that set bells ringing?
