Gujarat elections postponed
No, it is not out in the media yet. It is the news which appear as
headlines soon, maybe within two days. It may not, if the CEC sees
reason.
A dealy truth is fast sinking into the secular brigade: That the STING
HAS BACKFIRED. They are leaving no stones unturned iin this reagsrd.
Election Commision the latest stone turned.

Tapes will decide Modi's poll status: EC

Election Commission WILL decide if elections can be defered.
Extracts:
Election Commissioner Navin Chawla said that the Election Commission
has asked for the Tehelka sting tapes. In Bhuj, to review poll
preparations, he said that the tapes would be verified to decide
whether action could be taken against those boasting about the Gujarat
riots by debarring them from the Assembly election.
Is not the election commission going over the top?? Has it authority
to recommend legal action against Modi on an issue not connected with
election 2007??It seems that a decision has already been taken to
postpone the Gujarat elections.
Even if a few people boasted, BOASTED not confessed before a
magistrate or police, can the CEC usurp the jurisdiction of a District
Court??
