Hello,

Correct. As I responded to that Muslim's posting:

"The Bible account differs a bit here from the Quran. The Bible quotes
the angel as saying that Jesus was the "Son of God", not the 'son of
Mary'. Lu 1:35,

"The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon
you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that
reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God."" (NASB)

The Bible writer Luke wrote that account about 57 A.D. Since the Quran
was written about 610 A.D, it had the Bible accounts available to draw
on. But it appears that when it referenced this account, it changed a
few words. I prefer to go by the original account in Luke. (other
Bible verses also all call Jesus the "Son of God"."

But staying with the Bible's teachings, the Bible nowhere calls Jesus
'God' or the 'Father' etc. Rather it says that Jesus was created by
God. Col 1:15,

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all
creation." (NASB)

That is where the Bible differs from much of Christendom which claims
he was God. (of course there are a lot more scriptures to discuss
here, if you want to)

Sincerely, James
