Re: Just a question about re-incarnation or ... rebirth

Sure, you could think that. But for what purpose? You'll always meet
people who think rocks have souls, or who think souls don't exist, and
by arguing about all this you'll be wasting huge amounts of effort for
... what exactly? Proving your view-point right?

That's really just playing. Anything "could" be. It could be that
every atom or particle also has a "soul property" in addition to mass,
charge, spin etc., and what we think of as "our" soul is composite,
just as "our" bodies are composed of atoms.

This kind of idea-play is fun at best, and confusing at worst.

That's just shifting the "problem" of the source of knowledge from
humans to "god consciousness". How did this consciousness learn its
knowledge? It really doesn't explain anything about the process of
learning. (it's snipped now, but you were using this to "explain" the
great minds of human history)

Why stop your thoughts? Do you try to stop your breathing? Your
circulation?

You might want to try observing your thoughts. Do you meditate? If
so, have you observed how thoughts come and go, unbidden?

Thoughts seem to be pretty autonomous. Be careful what you identify
with. Don't take them too seriously, just because they are "your"
thoughts.

Cheers,
Florian
