Hosting in Taiwan?
I'm developing a site for a Taiwanese business, and I Googled for
Taiwanese hosting companies but haven't found anything satisfactory yet.
Am I right in thinking that, from a Google search point of view, it
would be an advantage to have local hosting? Or does this not matter?

Google are pretty cagey about such things so it's an extrapolation from
observed behaviour to say that ideally your server should be in the same
place as your TLD suggests. An appropriate TLD with the server somewhere
else or a server in appropriate location with an inappropriate TLD will
still get you listed in a localised search but perhaps not so well. An
inappropriate TLD and server somewhere else will pretty much debar you from
localised searches.

Generic TLDs such as .com, .net, .org, will get a localised search listing
based on the location of the server.

Thank you; that's most helpful.
