help needed for thumbnail display problem please
Good day to all
I have a problem where directories display a thumbnail of my site,
the display seems to cut out the right hand div from the page. I have
3 divs across the page and it shows the page full just not the
contents. I have reduced image sizes and have changed their widths
to %, and reduced them in width also have adjusted so if viewing in
800x600 they display ok but still get chopped off image on thumbnail
view?
 Anyone got any suggestions please.
                                                    peter

What a horrible looking website .

I closed the browser tab rather after i looked at the home page and the
first gallery thumbnail page .

No offence , But after you fix the thumbnail problem , It might be a
idea to spend some time on making your website look a bit nicer .

I can assure you that the horizon , when looking out to sea is
anything but horizontal - the world is not flat you know - the
curvature of the earth is very noticeable.

There is a difference between horizontal and straight.

Still a sloping sea.

And you need to work on the copy.

Dunnottar castle has both its proud tales and it's dark secrets,
an impressive strongpoint. Situated on the north east coast,
the castle is surrounded by 160 foot cliffs it was a hard nut to crack.

I said the horizon was not horizontal.

Here is a huge clue - where do you think the word 'horizontal' comes
from?

As I said, the horizon can't be horizontal as the world is not flat!

A time when people believed the world was flat.

So the content is shit, the paingtings are shit and the design is shit.
Makes the <div> problem kinda arbitary.

Re: help needed for thumbnail display problem please
Wow Mr olive, I don't mind the other guy's because it is kind of
constructive, but after looking at your sites and noting your age I am
disappointed.
If I can quote a website I saw recently:

" Everything is fine by me and I'm very honest. If something is
beyond my abilities or requires me to ask someone else then I'll say
so. Nobody out there knows everything, and part of the joy of working
on websites is the vast amount of help, support and advice so readily
available."

and then to see your four letter words, I understand you have problems
with longer ones but even so.

If you want any spelling help for your website or even any s.e.o. tips
you just have to ask.

When I read Scotland Oils, my eyes perked up thinking you were talking about
Oil in Scotland!

My problem is the site is a headache to read. I love pictures and art but I
can't cope with words carelessly placed over images.

I'd suggest that if you're going to show pictures, show pictures but not
pictures over pictures.

I'd suggest that if you're going to show text, show text but not text over
pictures.

But what do I know. ;-))))))
