Don't get pissed cuz you DID ask, but my initial reaction right off
the cuff is that it looks free. I have seen work by a 12 yo that was
much better looking. A very dedicated 12yo, but a kid none the less.
That babyshit brown is ok in small doses, but you've got way too much of
it in one spot.

Oh, that box that says "There is 2 articles published at the moment."
You need to use proper English. There are, not is and two, not 2.

Split-second reaction was 'I like the colour scheme' but then I started
looking around.

I think the headline is a bit too large considering it is just plain text
and I don't see the point in the huge & out of proportion gapping under it.

The layout structure does not work at all on IE7. The black padding around
the links is huge, then when you roll over a link, roughly 20px of
margin/padding vanishes from under it lifting the page contents up. On
further IE/FF comparison as I write this; none of the margins match and IE
is a comparative mess. Big problems.

To be quite honest , It looks like it was done by a five year old in a
blue peter competition .

Thanks for that Del.
I'll take a look at the margins and padding on the navbar (I think I
need to do some work on that anyway as it does not re-size well.
That is also why the heading space is large as it gives the text room
to move when the body text is re-sized.

Looking with a 1024 screen this time (1280 last time) and it's not much
better.

I keep hardly any added toolbars on my browsers, yet the headline area on
both browsers comes _past_ half-way down the screen before you get to the
navigation strip. Sorry Chaddy but that is just daft, somebody with all the
novelty add-ons and not maximised will see nothing but heading.

The black back area behind links is almost twice as tall in IE as FF and
comes all the way down to the "Welcome" text box, covering what should be a
margin.

If accessibilty is your prime concern in design then we can call
cross-browser my big niggle. I believe you are visualy impared...? So I
don't know how much use that 2 browser screen shot will be to you.

No. Still huge black back strip, missing brown margin, back to the original
bug where you roll over a nav and the bottom margin collapses bringing the
page up with it. How the hell did you do that?

Now you've gone and enclosed the header in some box. When the window is at
maximum 1024 this makes the line wrap. Chaddy, start that style sheet again,
get rid of the blank space under the header text and either shrink that
bloody font or set it up with a <br> to 2 lines. I'm starting to sway to
krusty's opinion here.

I won't be back to the group now, busy afternoon.

I think I have that bug sorted now.
When you get time can you take another look. Thanks.
Oh and I changed the colour of the navbar to better match the rest of
the site (so it should look better.
I still have that hight issue in IE though.

I am watching it with Opera and the top block looks disproportionaly
huge.
Yeah, same thing in Firefox.
Menu bottoms too big and the text should be centered
Block with: "There is 2 articles published at the moment." should
either be on its own or with the same height as the box that contains
it.
Bottom block also looks disproportionaly huge. Give it less padding.
"Free Web Design Online" box is out of proportion, make box smaller or
better, no box. No need.

Choice of colours fine.

Your site design is not so modern. Your site have no unique design and
navigation on all pages. There is some errors. On home page I can not see
complete menu in firefox.

The text on *every* page of that site (what there is of it) needs to be
rewritten by somebody who can write English properly. If the author
can't tell the difference, he needs to hire somebody who can.

It's partly a design choice (hence the rather brown colour scheme.

Much better.
Still menu buttons far too big, should be about half that height.
Footer could use a bit less padding and some top margin to
differentiate it from the main box.
Try to populate main box with more text so we can see how it will
look like.

BTW, there is a site with a similar name than yours that I like a lot,
They have some great Templates.
