Damn!
html>body .unleaded {margin: 0;}

I wish Audi had done something like this to hide unleaded fuel from diesel
engines. I'm just hoping the warranty covers stupidity or else I'm facing a
£600 bill.

Oh dear. It's very easy to do and one of those things that make you think
"there, but for the grace of God, go I". Unfortunately, I don't think your
warranty will cover it - most people claim on their insurance but, as most
insurance companies hate paying out, quite a few of them are now including a
specific clause to avoid paying out on that. Oh, and just to make your day,
I think you'll be looking at trebling that £600 - at least!!!

My cam belt gave way on Saturday night. On a 16v Alfa Romeo engine.
Dunno if valves are knackered yet. :-(

Geoff, bear in mind that you can get a s/h 2.0 TS fitted for around £1250 -
might be worth bearing in mind if there's serious trouble. My email's valid
if you want any more info, or just a shoulder to cry on - and that's from an
Alfaholic, not someone who's got anything to sell to you.

£260 inc vat and £15 worth of fuel, and the insurance will cough for it.
When I mentioned damage to injectors, fuel pump, etc, the bloke just said
"Not on that engine".

They even valeted and washed the car for me.

Now that's what I call service.

Well it has damaged valves but having had to pay for the belt to be
replaced, I may as well continue with an engine I know rather than take
a chance on a second hand engine. Looking at a similar price tho. But
thanks for the support - I love the car to bits.

Have to get my finger out and come up with a bit more paid work...
