Replacement for MS FrontPage
I currently run a small website, nothing clever just a bit of text and a
load of photos. I've taught myself to use just enough HTML to get by, and
have been using MS FrontPage to maintain it - stripping out all the extra
headers and so on that FP generates for itself.

Now I'm about to get a new PC with Vista, and my aged FrontPage presumably
won't run on it. Can people recommend a simple (and cheap) web authoring
program that will let me go on maintaining and adding to my site?

acehtml has a freeware version of their authoring app & while i've only
even had a quick look at it - it looks fine and does the job fine .

The only bummer is that it automatically installs a piece of shite
called the VMS browser toolbar - but the good news is you can untick it
from the toolbars option in your browser and you can uninstall the VMS
toolbar easy enough without any fuss as its seen as a separate app .

Take a look at:

Don't assume FP won't run on Vista until you've tried it. A lot of
elderly software does run perfectly well.

And this is a good thing why?
