[Status] [info] L-WAT
Posted at 2009-10-28 07:53 GMT by RevK
Update #0: 2009-10-28 07:59 GMT

The L-WAT packet loss issue seems to be fixed, but BT are still
investigating as they are puzzled by the fix... I'm sure they will get
to the bottom of the issue soon. Thank you for your patience. Well done
to the guys who have been working on this in BT.

Please note that fault reports were opened on a lot of lines, and many
of these are still open. I.e. in many cases BT have not even responded
to the initial fault report yet (which is not atypical). We are unable
to close these faults (this part of BT's cunningly designed fault
system). We can place a note on the fault telling BT the issue is
resolved and asking for it to be closed, and we are doing that. However
BT stated policy is to deliberately gnore notes we add to the fault.
Yes, this is a communications company we are talking about here. As
such many faults will continue in BTs systems (possibly for months)
until closed. I appreciate that this may sound totally crazy to anyone
reading this but I don't make this stuff up - this really is how they
work. Obviously, as a BT Group plc shareholder I find this quite
appauling.[IMAGE]
