[Planned] Work during November
Posted at 2009-10-26 09:12 GMT by RevK
Update #0: 2009-10-26 09:16 GMT

October has been a month of us clearing out the old BT Central links,
and moving connectivity to the new data centre. It has involved lots of
small steps that needed to be done to complete the works. We are
finally shutting down the original two routers aimless and needless
this week.

In November we will be moving many of our servers from London to
Maindenhead. We will also be removing the last quagga router from our
core network (currently this handles peering only).

We'll announce specified work as it happens during the month. For all
ciritical servers we aim to have little or no outage, obviously.

The end result of all of this work is a much simplet network, build
around dual-redundancy principles at every level so as to provide
better stability and easier on-going maintenance.

Thank you for yoru patience.[IMAGE]

This is a move from Telecity (was Redbus) to BlueSquare in Maidenhead I
think.

I moved worldnews.com from TC to BS a year ago. We find the new
facility and staff excellent, as I hope A&A do.
It is such a relief to finally ditch Redbus (Telecity)!
