[Status] [Update #1] [info] LNS testing today

Update #1: 2009-10-17 10:49 BST
Having identified an issue with LNS code Friday night we are planning
to deploy new code Saturday night. Before doing this we want to carry
out some tests during Saturday morning. These tests need to interact
directly with BT to be sure that the code is functioning as planned,
and not just on our lab test setup or test LNS.
The current LNS customers are using is the "A" LNS.
We will be doing tests on the "B" LNS during the morning.
This means that the redundant operation of the LNS's is at risk as any
issue with the "A" side (LNS or BT WBMC link) would fall-back to the
"B" server on which we are doing testing.
Also, during the morning, there may be periods where customers
re-connecting go on to the "B" LNS and are then ppp-killed and returned
to the "A" LNS.
| However, for everyone else there should be no impact at all.
