[Status] [info] Moving forward
Posted at 2009-10-16 11:47 BST by RevK
Update #0: 2009-10-16 12:12 BST

We'd like to thank Peter (AKA drPoggs on irc) for lending us a CISCO
7200 at the start of the year and everyone else that helped. We are
pleased to say that it has now been returned and we have no ATM
switches in our network any more.

It was rather embarressing that we had only one live ATM switch at the
time and our backup was untested. We have learned from that. We have
dual parts and spare parts for all of our equipment now (even if BT do
not for theirs). So once again we have no CISCO equipment in our
network. In fact we are gradually replacing quagga based routers (which
have served us well) with FB6000 BGP routers.[IMAGE]
