Delivery issues to AOL ?
Hello
Is anyone else having problems getting mail to AOL at the moment ?
I've just had this back from c.painless, looks like a temporary
blacklisting:

I've obfuscated the AOL address, but it belongs to a family member -
yes, I know, but they went and signed up for two years to get a

Following the link given it does look like that but I'm surprised

Is the recipients mail box full?

I've just had some more delivery failures to AOL, same error but to
different users - I was able to contact them via a Gmail account, so
their mailboxes are not full.

Gmail <> AOL, its the AOL mailbox that might be full. Having said
that AOL don't have a good reputation as far as reliabilty are
concerned and have been known to "randomly block" people sending mail
to their cutsomers.
Not to use AOL is the best solution.

Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer with that sentence - I've got
various "backup" accounts (Gmail, Hotmail, GMX etc) that I keep around
for checking out delivery/blacklisting problems. I used one of those to
send messages to the AOL accounts I couldn't reach - no problem getting
through to them.

That's the understatement of the year - and trying to prove that you're
NOT a spammer once they're convinced otherwise is a nightmare.

My various AOL contacts are beginning to realise that...
