ADSL2+ free lines for trial
Published Fri, 23 May 2008 08:16:00 +0000
We are pleased to confirm, subject to a letter from BT later today,
that we will be able to install a limited number of new telephone lines
specifically for the ADSL2+ trial, free of charge. We will be able to
order these from Tuedsay. Once installed we will be able to provide
ADSL2+ in around 5 working days.

This means we can now open up the trial for anyone in a WBC area. Check
the "availability checker" on our web pages, and if it mentions WBC you
may be able to get on the trial.

ADSL2+ will allow speeds of up to 24Mb/s sync depending on distance.
There is no charge for the ADSL2+ service or phone line for
installation or ongoing charges for the trial. Trialists are expected
to co-operate in trying different routers and feeding back details of
any good or bad points of the service. The trial will be from one to
three months - the time frame is not yet decided.

Trialists will be able to either continue with the PSTN line and ADSL2+
after the trial (PSTN will be charged at our normal monthly rates), or
have the line moved to their choice of phone provider, e.g. BT Retail,
or cease the line, at no charge. Note that the line will be outgoing
calls barred only allowing freephone and emergency calls to be made.

See http://aaisp.net.uk/trial.html for more details. Email the trial
email address on that page if you are interested.
