ADSL2+ trial update
Published Thu, 15 May 2008 08:17:00 +0000
BT believe they will have the sign off for their Birmingham trial and
so will be moving to start the work on Stepney Green tomorrow.

We also have the link set up in Telehouse North ready for BT.

This means that probably Monday we will be testing the new gigabit link
to BT for the first time. Neither us, nor BT, expect any major issues
with that. We have a small number of customers that we have the orders
for the new service waiting to go in as soon as BT have Stepney Green
up, and these are on 5 working day lead time. So we are looking end of
next week or start of the week after for the first live customers.

We are just waiting for confirmation from BT, but we expect to be able
to order new PSTN lines for a number trialists as well and should know
about this next week. If you are interested in becoming a trialist
please email the trials email address.

There is still much to do (for BT and us) before this is a mainstream
service, but we are finally seeing some progress. Thank you all for
your patience.
