Fast broadband
Hi
We are looking for fast broadband and currently considering BE who
offer 24GB download and 1.3Upload. Has anyone have experience of BE
good or bad? Is there another ISP which does something similar
reliably?
Many Thanks
Regards

That's up to 24 Megs and it depends on your distance from the exchange
and the quality of the cable and your internal wiring. Sorry if you
have already read all of that on the BE website but I didn't want you
to think that they guarantee 24 megs.
They provide the service over an LLU connection on a BT line but they
are not the only provider to do this, most of the LLU providers offer
ADSL2+ if they have their equipment in your exchange.
If you got to http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php and enter
your telephone number you will find out what your exchange offers. BT
are in the process of converting their exchanges to offer ADSL2+ and if
your exchange has BT 21CN WBC other providers as well as the LLU
operators could provide 24megs if they have the product available.
Can't really comment on BE but they are better than someone like
Tiscali as far as I'm aware.
You will get more comments on uk.telecom.broadband.
