ECLIPSE INTERNET, BT and LLU = NO SERVICE
Hi All,

I would like to post here my experience in the hope to help you guys
not to get caught in the same appalling experience.

About three weeks ago I have received a letter from ECLIPSE INTERNET
that my line was scheduled to go through a LLU. I was given the
opportunity to cancel that, but I did not, because practically LLU =
access to higher speed and cheaper service. I was notified that my
service (business broadband) could be disconnected for up two hours. No
problem, I could deal with two hours down.

On the 7th of December my service went down and TO DATE IT IS STILL
DOWN. That is, my ADSL BUSINESS BROADBAND service was discontinued by
BT but it was never picked up by the new provider, apparently due to a
communication breakdown between the two organizations.

Since the 7th of December I spent several hours on the phone asking
ECLIPSE INTERNET to restore my service, without success.

I must say that in more than two years with Eclipse I have always
received a very good service with only one disconnection that they
resolved in less than 12 hours.

These events however lead me to doubt seriously about the quality of
the services provided both by ECLIPSE INTERNET and BRITISH TELECOM.

It is in cases like this one that we, broadband customers, come to
terms with the disproportionate power that communications companies
have to determine the failure of our small businesses, brought to their
knees, without basic broadband service in a crucial commercial period
of the year like this one before Christmas.

There is little I can do, but to complain, and complain and complain.
Today I have reported this case to OFCOM, but I am aware that this does
not help with restoring my service which is still down.

Should you want to support my case and you have a broadband contract
with BT or ECLIPSE INTERNET, please consider to switch to another
provider. In this case you will help both to make my voice heard and
yourself, abandoning a poor ISP.

If you do not have a contract with either of them, please help telling
this fact to your friends and family.
