I seem to be having some difficulty with propagation of this
newsgroup.  I can mostly only see crosspostings.  I'm looking into
this.  Hopefully this message will escape ...

This turned out to be a problem upstream, which should now be fixed.  Ian
can now see all the new rants about u.r.c.m ;-)
