ULYM A Charter is full of lies & a corrupt moderation team
The Charter of uk.local.yorkshire.moderated
http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.local.yorkshire.moderated.html
States:-
"# No article shall be rejected based on the content of the body of the
article."
"# All rules applied shall apply to all posters equally, there will be no
blacklisting or whitelisting of individuals."
That's bullshit as the ULYM moderators are doing exactly the opposite. Because
of this abuse, either the moderators or the group need removing IMHO.

There is absolutely no doubt that they use whitelisting, which is
expressly forbidden in the charter. Although I never believed that
the moderators of UKLYM would ever follow any uk.* charter rules.

I agree with you totally.
And here's another problem.
In the 3rd uk.local.yorkshire.moderated RFD (the RFD that went to the vote)
Message ID:
<rfd3-uk.local.yorkshire.moderated-20031001094913$0f13@control.clues.com>
the following things were stated:
"Temporary moderators will serve for a period of not more than six months."
"Three lists may be kept, an approved NNTP Host list, an unapproved NNTP hosts
list and an anonymous remailer list. Articles posted from or via a server on the
unapproved NNTP hosts list or the anonymous remailer list will not be forwarded
for posting."
"The list of approved and unapproved hosts will periodically be made available
for public scrutiny."
"the rejection messages will be publicly available for inspection."
"No Content based moderation"
"The moderators may add any additional criteria for the approval or rejection of
posts, within the stated aims of the moderation policy, as they see fit. These
additional criteria and the groups moderation policy document must be posted to
the group according to a strict published timetable."
"The moderators may not change this policy statement to include moderation based
on the content of the body of an article, on the identity of the poster"
As not *one* thing above has been adhered to, I feel an RFD for the group's
removal is necessary.
