As a furriner, I find this love affair the rest of England has
with Dudley to be a bit of a puzzle. I thought people would have
gone to any lengths to preserve such a charming and popular place.
I went there (once) but it must have been a tourist day; all the
people I met seemed to be speaking some obscure dialect of
Finnish.
