No. usenet really isn't that important to me. I used to be on the
ukcrypto mailing list hosted on chiark. The "spam filtering" for that
list was changed so i could no longer contribute. I left the list. I
used to be a regular on uk.rec.cycling. Trolls made it unusable for me.
I left the group. @usenet.org.uk has made it obvious they don't want my
emails. If/when that means I can no longer contribute to usenet I'll
abandon usenet.

I think you're very confused if you think I'm inflating the chiark
solution or even approve of it. @usenet.org.uk doesn't accept my
emails. That is wrong. @chiark.greenend.org.uk doesn't accept my emails.
That is wrong.
I've already emailed Ian with my views on the urcm email addresses at
chiark. He disagrees with me. I've posted my views on the @usenet.org.uk
addresses here. The committee disagrees with me. My view is that
discriminating like that is fine for a private email address but when
you're providing a service to the public (even if it's a free volunteer
service) then arbitrary discrimination like that is wrong. But I'm not
going to start lobbying my MP to get the group of people who deliver
direct to MX recognised as an official minority.
Tim.

God said, "div D = rho, div B = 0, curl E = - @B/@t, curl H = J + @D/@t,"
and there was light.
