And then you get exactly the problem that happened when trying to get
urcm created - an email vanishes and nobody can find hide nor hair of
it.
I've used ISPs email servers. And I've had emails vanish. Very
occasionally I've had one vanish where the recipient has access to the
mail logs at their end. I can see my logs where the email was accepted
and there has been no attempt at all by my then ISP to attempt delivery.
I also cannot use TLS if I send via my ISPs servers. It's not just that
my email is plain text on my ISPs servers, they don't even offer TLS. (I
realize that this is a moot point when emailing the moderators as
neither chiark nor gradwell appear to offer STARTTLS but even most of
the mailing lists I subscribe to now use TLS)
