I've always tried to apply this question to all I've "e-met" in
netnewsland.

Having 'really' met many a fine contributor to uk. and other
hierarchies in 'RL' [tm], I generally tend to find they're exactly as
I'd pictured them in my befuddled mind, however it's occasionally the
case, as you say, that they turn out to be different to my perception
and this could be the case with the Venereal Doctor S'todger.

It is always possible, of course, that he's just a complete twat.
