Wearing jeans was probably a bad decision as I had to roll them up when 
I got warm; I had made a specific choice not to do lycra, perhaps that 
makes me strange?

My mother thought I looked a bit pale when she saw the pics from the 
ride, however, she lives in africa and it can be hard to explain that I 
don't lie about in the sun as much as I should.
