I can never understand people getting whiffy about the likes of Aldi,
Lidl and Netto. Anyone interested in cars, boats or DIY will be well
aware of the merits of Aldi and Lidl - and anyone who cooks will know
that flour from Netto is no different than 'premium' flour from
Tescoasdaburys - 'cept a fraction of the price. Today I have baked a
seeded wholemeal loaf for mi sarnies, 12 chocolate* muffins (obviously
for the folk in the office) and made 2L of Lindisfarne Mead ice cream
- erm, for friends - all for less than a tub of Ben & Jerrys would
cost. Mebi I've lived in Yorkshire too long...
* 85% Lindt with a nugget of 99% Lindt in the middle - these came from
Duty Free :-)
