UKOnline - Worst ISP response ever???
My ISP (UKOnline) has surely got to be the worst tin-pot organisation going!

At about 21:00 yesterday mail went off-line.

A call to their "support" people revealed that the cause was a power cut,
and I was advised that updates on progress would be available from the
pre-recorded service status line.

At 23:00, the pre-recorded message, timed at 21:05 told me that they had a
technical problem and were working to resolve it as fast as possible.

At 07:00 today, still no service, and still the same message from 21:05
yesterday.

At 10:00 today, still no service, and no message at all on the status line

At 10:30, phoned "customer services" (a misnamed department if ever there
was one), and tried to register a complaint about the inadequate resolution
time.

The person on the other end tells me that I'm not allowed to make a
complaint, because it isn't UKOL's fault that there was a power cut. No, but
it is your fault that you haven't done anything about it.

But apparently, no, I can't register a complaint, because they have to get
permission from a supervisor to register a complaint, and the supervisor
says I can't register a complaint.

Apparently, me paying them money every month entitles me to absolutely
nothing.
