I have been having difficulties uploading recorded programmes to my PC
using media e-linker. The upload constantly crashes before it gets
very far.

I have tried using the alternative Media Controller I found on the
internet - while this doesn't abort it seems to want to take hours
(literally) to upload a file to the PC.

I am using a 2m USB cable to connect from the PVR to the PC, and am
running Windows XP.

I would appreciate any advice on a) how to get media e-linker to work
properly or b) how to get media controller to upload faster.

I have looked around the Internet for ideas, and while opening the box
and wiring the drive in as an external drive seems one way of doing
things, since this is a new purchase, I am not keen to void warranty.

So, the standard software routes would be my choice.

Any advice much appreciated.
