DMREH60D v RDR-HX510
Leaving aside the difference in HDD size is it worth waiting another month
or two for the Sony to be back in stock or should I buy the now discontinued
Panasonic?

Just a note in case it's important, the Sony HX510 has no DTT tuner.
Unlike the HXD710 and 910. The 'D' in the model code is all important !

Thanks for that Mark. I meant 710 anyway! I have made an appointment with
the optician.

If you go for a 710 you won't be disappointed, but if you can afford it,
go for the 910. Bigger hard disk, HDMI output and upscaling, including
the Freeview stuff. Upscaling the Freeview stuff to 720p seems to clean
things up a bit. OK, it's a fudge, but not a bad one in my book.
