DIGIFUSION PVRS - DO NOT BUY THEM
FOR THE ATTENTION OF ANY DIGIFUSION EMPLOYEES AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY ANY
POTENTIAL PVR PURCHASERS

D  = DUBIOUS (QUALITY)

I  = INEPT (TECHNICAL SUPPORT)

G = GROSSLY INCOMPETENT (SOFTWARE ENGINEERS)

I = IDIOTIC LEVEL OF SELF BELIEF (TECHNICAL & COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT)

F= F...D UP PRODUCTS (FVRT100,150,145,200)

U=USELESS (CUSTOMER SERVICE)

S=SAD & SORRY (PRODUCT REPUTATION)

I=INADEQUATE (2 AMP POWER SUPPLIES)

O=ONOING (UNRESOLVED TECHNICAL PROBLEMS)

N=NEVER (AGAIN WILL I AND MANY OTHERS EVER BUY A PRODUCT WITH THE DIGIFUSION
NAME ON IT)

the justification for the above is as follows:

How long since the FVRT100 was launched and no fixes for:

Widescreen switching problem

Library loss with use of compression

L&R audio reversed on SCART output

Software version 1.75 released for one broadcast with release messages for
1.74 ! and then you revert back to broadcasting 1.74. without explanation.

So, presumably software version 1.75 is why my unit became more crash prone
and unreliable than it was with 1.63 or 1.64. (HAD HARDLY ANY CRASH PROBLEMS
WITH 1.74).

In desperation I take the menu option to reformat my disk two Saturdays ago
to get rid of 1.75 so it will download current version 1.74 overnight.

Then I discover the sad Digifusion tossers have stopped broadcasting ANY
version of software at all, so now I am stuck with a unit with 1.63, which
means regular crashes, regular crashes on EPG downloads, 7 day not 14 day
EPG.

Vague talk from telephone support muppets that a new version of software
fixing problems with 1.75 will be released in the coming months, (although
in early december they told some people who had 1.75 related problems sooner
that I did it would be released around xmas).

They launched the FVRT 200 with a fanfare of publicity, bullshit
bells&whistle features for editing and disk storage folder creation, BUT it
still had the core functionality problems outlined above.
