Haven't noticed any either although, since the last
update in October 2005, virtually nothing has 'gone
wrong'.
I guess some have been having problems with recordings
that suddenly fail midstream (usually overnight!), but
these might be more of a problem of a TV channel losing
it's clock momentarily. BBC have been somewhat prone
to this, recently..
It's likely that the latest upgrade is to both enhance
the robustness of the now mostly reliable Pace Twin and
to 'fix' those STBs for which the October 2005 upgrade
didn't produce the expected benefits.
It's interesting that Pace are keeping up their commitment
to the Twin, even though it is no longer a current machine!
Thanks to their Techies for their helpful efforts... :))

It may no longer be sold here but a satellite version is still sold in
Europe. I don't think altruism is behind the updates.
This upgrade is simply a bug-fix edition to correct problems evident
to a number of users with the 1.7.70 upgrade. No enhancements ets.

It is indeed excellent... maybe the techies like their creation so much,
they are supporting it in their own free time, with Pace not objecting.
Surely Pace as a commercial venture are not that dedicated.
Unless someone has a better explanation...

Yes, surprised (and pleased) that the updates are still coming :)
Agree also that the box has been pretty stable lately although I still
get the occasional lock up.
Overall it's given good service and I'm very happy with it.
