Help with Toppy please.
Hi all.
When something is currently recording I really struggle to play it from
the start. I end up rewinding in 30s chunks.
Dunno why, but hitting 'enter' or 'play' (the two usual buttons for
playing from archive) seems to make no difference.
What's the secret then?
(Using MyStuff TAP and nothing else clever)
Cheers

Steve,
If you find the recording in the archive list and press play, it should
just automatically start in 'chase play' mode from the beginning of the
recording . Mine does, I'm sure. Maybe there's some mystuff option you
have set different to me????
Anyway, workarounds I can think of off the top of my head are:
a) while you are in play mode, just hit the rewind button and hold it
down until the progress bar appears and 'rewind' it back to the
beginning (the little vertical line shows you where you are in the
recording).
b) while you are in play mode, just press '0' on the numeric keypad on
the remote. This will take you to 0% of the way through the recording
(i.e. the start).
Hope this helps,
Ian.

Didn't know about holding down rewind. That's the ex-Tivo guy in me.
Cheers.

Or the Toppy may have an older firmware installed. This start replay
of recording in progress as live is a bug^H^H^H feature of older
firmwares.

Doesn't pressing zero cause the Toppy to cycle through it's view
(letterbox, centre cut, whatever) options? Don't you need the
progress bar showing? get the progress bar by pressing play during
replay press play again and it will disappear.

Yes. Press '1' to get 1% rather than 0 to get 0%. But normally starting
the play by pressing the 'OK' button should play from start.

Try pressing the "Text" button after you start playing from the acrive
list.
