I haven't experienced any problems with the sound on my (fairly basic) PVR
and the EPG is populated up to the weekend.
I'm getting my reception from the Mendip transmitter, you wouldn't have
anything to lose by doing a factory reset and a complete rescan to see if
that resolves the problem.

I had a similar problem on ITV3 when they buggered about with various
commercial channels the other day. This was on a Humax PVR9200-T. I
solved it by deleting all channels followed by a rescan. The problem
was caused by a change to the PID (internal number id) of ITV3, causing
the Humax to add the new version at an unexpected channel position,
leaving the original ITV3 unusable.

Menu > Edit Channels > Edit Channel Lists
This should list all the available channels on the left, with some
buttons on the right.

Use right-arrow to go to the right, then down to Select All, then down
to Delete.

Best of luck...
