Technomate 9100
Hi,

Does any one know about the Technomate 9100 ?

Until recently I've had a Humax 9200, which other then I couldn't add
functionality to (scripts to automatically setup recording schedule
mainly), I was happy with.

But I've moved house and now I won't get freeview back for over a year
and a half.

I have a satellite dish, and am looking at replacement satellite pvrs.

I'm a programmer by trade and hobby, and so was a bit frustrated I
couldn't play really with the Humax.

As I understand it the Technomate 9100 gives me everything I want
plus:

* connected by eithernet so I can use VideoLAN to stream out video to
my home network, or copy files to/from the box.
* easy to fit different size harddiscs
* linux box (I use linux as my home desktop) so is completely open
* fast
* apparently can be controlled over the internet, so I could connect
to it and set it to record when I'm not in the house.
* cheap

It all seams to be too good to be true. Is it?
