I would prefer to switch off the Wharfdale DV832B digital receiver from the
mains at night. But I have been told that it should be left on standby each 
night to get the
automatic updates.  Or is is the case that the update is applied only when 
it's posted on this
site below? Like once every few months or something.

Is there another name for the Manufacturers other than * Wharfdale *  or 
*Matsui* since we have one each of these makes of digi box and neither are 
not listed on the above download site.  Thanks.
