Panasonic DMR-EX95 interchange of DVD-RAM between PC and Recorder
I want to move Jpegs between PC and PVR using a DVD-RAM, but I cannot
as a DVD-RAM formatted on the PC is not recognised on the PVR and
vica versa. I've tried with Nero and windows XP.
Does anybody know of any PC software that will allow me to create a
compatible DVD-RAM for my Panasonic?
(apart from that I love my new PVR!)

On that particular Panny, burning to DVD-RAM is only possible
as a DVD-RAM(+VR). It cannot burn data DVD-RAM disks.
See page 24 of the instruction manual
"+VR format is not for recording of still images"
That particular Panny has a SD card slot. See page 26 of the
instruction manual, it is the only way. You could transfer the
images back onto a SD card and if your PC has a slot, read
from that, or load SD card to camera, connect via USB and
transfer.
You can download full instructions from Panny's UK support site:

Re: Panasonic DMR-EX95 interchange of DVD-RAM between PC and Recorder
Many thanks for the reply - I thought I was reasonably DVD savvy, but
certainly hadn't understood the significance of the +VR suffix. Thanks
for clearing that up.
The thing that confused me was the statment on page 42 "If you have
saved pictures in JPEG format on DVD-RAM, you can playback and edit
these using the Album View function.
I have already done txfr with SD card OK, but was working my way
through all possible options.
Thanks again. Pat

Pat
