troublesome muxes
I'm thinking of compiling a list of muxes on 28.2 that are more troublesome
than average. This is especially with regard to large distribution systems.
There are many different factors that cause problems with certain muxes. If
anyone has any specific experience of reception problems on certain muxes,
especially if they managed to find out the cause of the problem, I'd be
interested to hear about it.

If there's anyone who operates in the outer areas of the UK and Eire where
certain muxes are known to be difficult, that would also be of interest.

If anyone has experience of interference from terrestrial microwave (either
at downlink frequncies or satellite IF frequencies), DECT, car radar
detectors, etc, I'd like to hear about it.

For all of these please supply details of the muxes involved, quoting the
channel or frequency and the polarization.

Any spectrum analyser screen shots would be especially welcome.

Please respond either here or to an email address comprising 'Wright's
Aerials', but with no punctuation or spaces, followed by the 'at' symbol,
followed by Foxtrot 2 Sierra dot com

The muxes at 28.5 that don't stagger the frequencies between horizontal
and vertical polarization tend to be problematic for some.

Some muxes (especially the "F" transponders on Eurobird) do appear to
be of lower received power. Astra 2D's signal tends to be much
stronger.

Yes, they make crosstalk within the multiswitches rather a problem!

Yes.
