SKY+ Second Box Multiroom issue
Pace SKY+ box in daughters room when switched on this eve is reporting
no signal on both inputs. Our HD Box is fine so am i right in
suspecting this is a hardware issue?
The box was originally ours before we upgraded to HD so is probably at
least 18mths - 2yrs old. I've rebooted the box, swapped inputs and
forced a software upadate to no avail.
I'll dig out our older SKY box from the attic tomorrow to confirm the
inputs are OK but is there anything else I can check before I call SKY?

Re: SKY+ Second Box Multiroom issue
If there is No Satellite Signal there you wont be able to do a software
download.
The lack of signal MAY be tuner fault or it may be LNB or cable. Have you
tried switching boxes? if the HD box works then you'll KNOW it the Sky +
thats at fault

Swapping the HD box isn't practical as it's been cable tidies into the
corner in the lounge and would be a mare to extract! I'll have to
venture into the loft and dig out the old Panasonic box tomorrow to
check the cable to her bedroom works.

I dug out the old Panasonic box and confirmed the cables were OK and
signal was present so called Sky.
They asked what error number was displayed on the signal (29) and then
got me to rset the LNB settings in the installer menu and it is now
working. The CS agent said it was a recent software download that had
caused some issues, has anyone heard of this?
