Sky Remote Code for Aldi's Tevion 32" LCD3207
Has anyone found a sky remote control code for Aldi's 32" Tevion
LCD3207. It's bugging me that I can't find a working code for this
model.

Cheers

Tevion products are usually something else with a different badge. If
no-one knows the code you might need to hit Google with various
combinations of product number and/or details to see if a similar
model comes up.

I sometimes find it's worth trying Philips codes on obscure products.

Changed from + to HD. Skylink doesn't Work
This morning my Sky+ box was upgraded to a Sky HD box and now the Skylink to
my bedroom TV no longer works. The signal is passed along OK and is
watchable but the LED at the end of the aerial lead is no longer illuminated
and the new HD remote control has no effect.

The RF output does pass through a signal booster in the loft, for splitting
into two leads (bedroom and kitchen) but this is fitted with the loop
through device and worked OK with the Sky+ box.

I have checked that the RF power is switched on by going into Services 401.

Could the HD box have different characteristic to the + box preventing the
Skylink working? I suppose that the Skylink may just have packed up but it
seems to be a strange coincidence.

Anyone any ideas?

Try plugging the Skylink directly in to the RF output of the HD box. If it
lights up then the problem is in your cabling and/or booster. If it doesn't
then the HD box is not outputting the required DC.

No power to the link. I believe the default setting for the link power is
OFF on an HD box. There is an installation menu option to turn it on
somewhere.

Press the services button, 401, select. One of the menu options is to do
with RF outputs It's in there somewhere.

You say that the rf power is turned on. Try looking at the back of
the hd box and make sure that the telly you watch with the magic eye
coax cable is shoved into the rf 2 as this is the one that has the
power for the magic eye. The engineer might have put it in rf 1 and
vica versa.

Thank you for taking the time to reply but I already said "I have checked
that the RF power is switched on by going into Services 401."

Alan thanks. You've got it in one! That's exactly what I have found.
Plugging it into the bottom connector has fixed the problem. The LED is on
and the remote control works in the bedroom.

Mind you "The Engineer" did say it was one of the quickest installations he
had ever done, and he was half asleep. After first disconnecting the Sky+,
he turned around and started to put it all back again before he remembered
he had brought an HD box with him.

He also forgot to enable the automatic switch on of the Scart/HDMI when the
Sky box is turned on.

My HDMI enabled DVD/HDD Recorder which had been connected to the TV by an
HDMI cable, is now connected to the Sky HD by Scart so anything played back
from it will now inevitably be degraded.

Thanks again Alan,

Strange coincidence, I've just had my Sky+ upgraded to Sky HD. Now my
TV does not switch over the Sky when I turn the Sky box on. I can find
the SCART setting for this on the Sky box but not an hdmi setting. Can
someone let me know if there is one?

Wouldn't that setting be on the TV not the Sky box?

Enabling the SCART switching also works for the HDMI connection (or at least
on my set up, it does)

Doesn't on mine. I've also discovered that after connecting the Sky HD
box to the TV (via an HDMI cable) the TV no longer recognizes the HDMI
connection to the DVD recorder/player. If I get the TV to search for
connected HDMI devices it does not see the DVD Recorder. If I unplug
the HDMI connection to the Sky HD box normal service is resumed. Odd!

TV - Sony KDL-40S3000. DVD Recorder - Sony RDR-HXD870. Sky HD - Thomson

I see that your TV has the luxury of three HDMI connections whereas my two
year old Panasonic only has one. Sorry that I can't suggest anything.

Wow, ..... at last, someone with the exact same problem as myself.
TV = Sony KDL32 D3000, DVD recorder = Panasonic, Sky HD = Thomson.

And I have done all the same things as yourself Ray regarding the unplugging
of said cables.

PLEASE someone, ..................... Help us.
