Samsung HD boxes: New EPG imminent
I have a Samsung HD digibox. Received an email earlier today informing me
new EPG is "on it's way". Looks like this batch of upgrades is for boxes
suffixed with "005". Hopefully get it before Saturday so I can watch Star
Wars on ITV HD.

Bah, have a 007 box myself so this means no update yet again. :(
Well, if you go by last 3 digits on model number then yeah, probably means
by the way they go it'll come for me in 2010.

Switched on this morning to find the new EPG. Just in time to watch Star
Wars on ITV HD on Saturday.
Updates seem to be on model specific models only. 004 boxes are still to be
updated.

the corner of the planner
but no ITV HD. ? is that right?

You have to add ITVHD to the other channels thing. you cannot record it
either.

As Gary has said. It need adding manually. Officially it is still
exclusive to Freesat.

Watched football last night. Picture was good. Disappointed sound was only
2 channel stereo though.

The picture is only half the experience. *Most* native HDTV programmes are
in Dolby Digital 5.1. Likewise the upcoming Star Wars film on Saturday is
only to be broadcast in 2 channel stereo. Maybe if you don't have an AV
receiver you don't miss the 5.1 surround sound.
