back
new card, box goes phffffttt
yesterday received new card and i put it in my panasonic tu-dsb30 (v old but
never let me down)
today after coming back from work unit not responding to remote, reboot got
it working (unit not overheating all vent clear of dirt, dust and
obstructions - been down that road many years ago)
then at around 21:30 whilst watching on a screen upstairs signal goes out
with loud phfuutt and no amount of rebooting, leaving off etc will coax it
back to life (red light nothing else)
so is it a coincidence that a unit that has worked several years blows a day
after new card inserted of is it a ploy to get me to buy new box/services

Funny you should post this. The same has happened to my Panny DSB31 last
week. New card in Monday and the box was fu*ked on Tuesday night. Mine too
dead. Not waking up, and no remote control response. Seems strange.

This is very interesting.
You remember a couple of weeks back I posted about my old sky box being
knackered? Well the replacement box was a Panasonic, and it died within
a week! Can it be really be a coincidence that a new card was involved?
The 2nd replacement box is a Pace, and seems OK so far...
