Sky card
Hi
Got sky plus in my lounge working fine, got another feed into my music room
from the LNB with another reciever[not Sky +] with a card all bought from an
auction site.
Worked well for a year but now it won't show Chan.4/5 etc saying the card is
not authorised.
I thought we could get CH4/5 plus a few others without a card.
Anyone enlighten me as it says call for assistance and I want to know what
I'm up against first.
I thought cards bought for 20 quid were ok.Cheers if you can.

Has it been switched off for a while? If so, leave it plugged in and on
standby for a day or two. It probably hasn't got the latest encryption
codes stored in it, but it'll pick them up within 48 hours.

Why standby? Because when on standby it will tune to the default
transponder, which is likely (not confirmed) to have a faster turnover
of authorisation codes.
