Re: Replacement Sky+ box
Thanks for this post. My News 24 channel freezes as well. Thought my box was
broken. All other channels seem to work ok.
Relieved.

Having recently had my Amstrad box replaced with another one, I have one
channel that is freezing and jerky BBC News 24. As this is the channel for
the programme "Click" I would be grateful for any advice. I will be in
contact with Sky on Monday. I have tried a reboot.

Have arranged for $ky to call and look at my set up. Their guy says it is
the way $ky broadcast their signal.
No problem on freeview, must say their guys have been very good. Mind you I
am dealing local not with head office.

BBC channels are broadcast quite independently of Sky. The only connection
is that BBC pays Sky to include their schedules in the Sky EPG.

As Freeview broadcasts via an aerial and not via the Sky system I'm not
surprised there are no problems on Freeview.

Unless they really meant, in the very loose and miss used sense of the
name, 'Freesat' - aka via non BSkyB sat' receivers.
